In 2017 the award for Exceptional Service was presented to Hyatt Lodge for their organization’s award winning customer service programming, providing an exceptional experience for its customers. Innovative programs allow Hyatt employees the opportunity to go above and beyond in service during the client’s stay. As a result of these programs, the Hyatt Lodge was recognized within the Hyatt organization as #1 in “Knowing Customer Preferences” and “Check In” and in the Top 40 for “Customer Satisfaction”. Its internal Hyatt Employee Colleague Experience Survey was at its highest level in 2016 and two of its employees were finalists in the State of Illinois in the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association with one advancing to the national level.

Norm Canfield, General Manager of the Hyatt Lodge was happy to share his thoughts about this award: “The Hyatt Lodge team was deeply appreciative and honored to receive the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce’s Exceptional Service Award for 2016/2017.  This award reconfirms our commitment to Hyatt’s purpose and motivates us to deliver an even higher level of care and service to our guests, colleagues, community members and ownership.  The five photos below illustrate Hyatt Lodge’s sense of purpose, teamwork and dedication to excellence.”

  1. An employee serves McDonald’s cheeseburgers to guests as a tradition at weddings.
  2. Hyatt employees are involved in our community. Our Hyatt Lodge team participated in a softball tournament that benefited the Ronald McDonald House. They competed against other companies in the area.
  3. Two employees were recognized at the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association’s “Stars of the Industry” award reception this fall. The “stars” at this reception represented the best-of-the-best in service in the Chicago suburbs.
  4. Employees volunteer for many charitable events. Here employees pose for a picture after volunteering at Feed My Starving Children.
  5. Managers recognize our employee’s hard work and effort by serving them!  Every year we celebrate Housekeeping week. This year we made snow cones!
